Founded in 1922 as a craftman's business, Drink & Schlössers specialized in the construction of apparatus and rolls during the fifties. For meanwhile more than fifty years the company has been building high-quality technical rolls for all kinds of industries. The range of products which has been steadily growing to meet the rising requirements of the market extends from simple idler, guide, deflector and cooling drums over heating and cooling rolls, up to high-precision central printing cylinders for flexographic printing.

Depending on the application in question, steel, stainless steel, aluminium or special materials are used. With the existing machinery dimensions of up to 4200 mm in diameter with 10000 mm in length or up to 2400 mm in diameter with 18000 mm in length can be made. Any technically possible variant of surface treatment is supplied.

D&S-cylinders have had a well-deserved top reputation for a long time now in plastics and paper processing, and especially in flexographic printing. In the manufacture of plastic panels and foils the deflection resistant rolls with hardened, wear resistant surfaces built in Krefeld-Hüls have proved themselves over and over again. Best precision that can be attained with respect to the requirements is as well guaranteed as an even temperature distribution over the working width for rolls with heating or cooling function.

Rolls that require an acceptance are produced and certified in accordance with the Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EU and the AD-2000 legislation.
